The Composer Badge.
To earn the "Composer" badge the applicant must write and present ten full length pieces of original music.
The purpose of this badge is to draw out and encourage the creative expression of our students and help them use their new skill in playing music into composition, arranging, mixing, notating and expressing.
Get Inspired
- Start exploring some new music, find something you love and dive deep. Ask your teacher for ideas if you are stuck.
- Start trying to write and create, start slowly and allow yourself to make mistakes, don't just your process, enjoy it instead.
Get Writing
- Record and/or write down your ideas as they come.
- Develop and workshop any ideas you really like.
- Aim to completely finish the major ideas you have come up with.
Get It Together
- You can present your work in writing, in recording, through video or audio. However you would like it expressed.
- Once you have it ready present these to Stormer Music in whatever format works best for you.
